Microwave Apple Peanut Butter Oatmeal

Microwave Apple Peanut Butter Oatmeal

I created this microwave apple peanut butter oatmeal as a snack one evening, because I thought it would be a lot healthier than snacking on chips :). This oatmeal is REALLY good, it’s very filling, it takes about 5 minutes to make, and it packs a whopping 11-12 grams of fiber, almost 50% DV. Additionally, this oatmeal is super customizable. You can swap out the peanut butter for any nut/seed butter of your choice, and you can also swap out the apples for nearly any fruit of your choice. My favorite substitutions are bananas, pears, blueberries, and raspberries. Also, if you want to up the protein a bit, you can substitute the water with any milk of your choice. Finally, this oatmeal can be enjoyed for breakfast, lunch, or even a late night snack. Enjoy! 🙂

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1. Combine oats and water in a cereal bowl. Mix until combined. Put bowl in the microwave. Follow instructions on container for how long to microwave for.

Step 2. While the oatmeal is still hot, mix in a heaping spoonful of peanut butter.
